| I
have been drawing since I can remember, and became thoroughly inspired
when sketching my friends years ago during free periods in middle
& high school. The attention, the raves!
I had taken
lots of photos of my children as they grew, some of which became
paintings. My other great joy is in sketching or painting gardens
that either nature has created or I have created in respect for
nature.
I attended classes at Vesper George, Penn State University, Framingham
State College, Worcester Art Museum School, Danforth Museum School,
Concord Art Association, and evening Adult Ed classes at many local
schools.
Only recently have I had more time to paint since my children are
grown. I feel as if I could keep on going till I drop with seldom
a sense of fatigue. Although I have sold numerous portraits in pastel
and watercolors of gardens and homes, recently I’ve been dabbling
in oils and acrylics as well and having a blast!
Like a good
story a painting has a way of reaching the observers while letting
them find personalized meaning, a fun way for them to be creative
too.
